Gerald Paul Brouillette, 79, of Apex, formerly of Marksville, LA, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Manor Village in Morrisville, NC.

Gerald was born February 23, 1933 in Marksville, LA to the late Gordy and Lelia Brouillette. He was a graduate of Marksville High School and retired US Army Master Sergeant, serving 2 tours in the Vietnam War, and retiring with over 23 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gisela Herpel Brouillette; daughters, Vanessa B. Yount and her husband, Rick of Cary, NC; and Andrea Kindl and her husband, Mark of Snellville, GA; brothers, Charles Brouillette of Marksville, LA; and Hudson Brouillette of St. Martinsville, LA; sister, Louise LaBorde of Marksville, LA; and 5 grandchildren, Richard, Jessa and Olivia Yount; and Jennifer and Lance Kindl.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 445 W. Bontempt St., Marksville, LA, 71351. Interment will be held immediately following the service at St. Joseph Cemetery.
