Gillian Audrey Wise, 78, of Cary, NC passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 surrounded by loved ones at her home after a long, courageous battle with brain cancer. On behalf of Jill's family "down under", I'd like to offer my heartfelt condolences to uncle Peter and the family for the loss of our dear Aunty, cousin and sister Jill. I am incredibly blessed and humbled that I was invited over to be a part of celebrating her wonderful life and legacy. May the God of all comfort and compassion be your strength at this time. Although we only had the opportunity to meet Jill a handful of times at soccer games here in FL, we know the kind of mother/friend/grandmother/wife/person she was simply by witnessing the character and family values we see in Phil & Jennifer's family here in FL....our hearts go out to Peter, Phil, her entire family and all who's lives she touched. May God rest her soul & the stories of her life shared this weekend mask the sadness of her passing. The Nixon Family

I have fond memories of taking weekly art lessons with Jill at Finn Dahlin's studio. She was a good friend and a talented artist. Her landscapes of her England were authentic and delightful. I shall miss her. My thoughts and prayers are for her and for you, Peter.
