in Cary, NC.
Born in Boston on March 26, 1938, Glenda was the daughter of James and
Syd Danziger, and sister of Robert Danziger of Newton, MA.
Married to her life-long love, Michael Reingold in 1960, Glenda was a
remarkable mother to Caren (Rick) Francis, Robin (Matt) Donegan, and
Michael “Chip” Reingold II (Matthew Tesorerio), and loving grandmother
to Rebecca, Hannah, and Andrew (Francis) and Connor and Dylan
(Donegan).
Glenda raised the family in Westport, CT and Concord, MA, and then she
and Mike enjoyed retirement in Richmond, MA and Naples, FL.
A proud graduate of the Brimmer and May School, Skidmore College and
Wheelock College, Glenda spent many years as a Special Needs Teacher at
Peabody Middle School in Concord, MA. After her diagnosis of
Scleroderma in 1988, Glenda and Mike created The Scleroderma Research
Fund, a powerhouse charity that raised millions of dollars to fight and
eradicate this disease. Glenda used her own story to raise awareness and
help others in coping with their own diagnosis.
Nicknamed “Glenda the Good”, Glenda was a tireless champion and friend
to all those who knew her. She was unfailingly stylish and elegant, a fierce
Boston Red Sox lover and word puzzle expert.
Her smile, her support and her understated elegance will be her lasting
legacy. A private family service was held on June 25, 2022. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation
https://srfcure.org/, or The National Parkinson’s Foundation
