Gregg was born at Beaumont Royal Oak Hospital in Oakland County, Michigan on July 26, 1956 to Edward “Geoffrey” Wallace and Patricia “Tricia” Elizabeth Sturges.
He graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Michigan in 1975. He continued his education at Michigan State University, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Sciences. He was currently teaching computer programming languages as an Associate Professor at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Gregg was a smart, honest man of integrity with a strong devotion to his children and loved ones. With a funny quick wit, he entertained everyone he met. Gregg was artistically skilled at photographing birds. He enjoyed cooking, sports and caring for nature with Jeanne. He had a compassionate heart and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Gregg is survived by his partner, Jeanne Farrell; his children, Dustin Wallace, Katie Tyndall and husband, Kristopher, and their mother Monica Blasius Wallace; siblings Jan Hoffmann and husband, Mike, Chris Van Looy and husband, Bill, Peter Wallace and wife, Nancy; nieces, nephews and extended family in the United States, Austria, Australia and New Zealand.
Arrangements are with Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, North Carolina.
