Guy Blaine Long, age 94, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The son of the late Emery and Arzoma (Smallwood) Long, he was born September 29,1930 in Little Burch (Braxton County), West Virginia. After serving his country for 24 years between the US Army and the US Airforce, Guy then went to work for the US Postal Service where he retired from.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Etrulia and their son, Warren G. Long. He is survived by his three daughters; Paige Sherry (husband Paul), Cynthia Myer (husband Mark) and Leslie Laton. Daughter-in-law, Mary Long, three grandchildren and his brother, Willis Long.
The family will have Guy's ashes placed at the Sailisbury National Veterans Cemetery in the coming months.
