Hazel is survived by her daughters, Rebecca White (Donald) of Benson and Brenda Johnson (Kenneth) of Knightdale; sister, Kay Branch of Apex; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a very special sister-in-law, Nancy Hatley; and her beloved dog, Ruby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard Ward Hatley; and her brother, Nelson Hayes.
A funeral will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary, at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
