Helen Rogers Murdock

She was born August 28, 1930 in Wake Co., a daughter of Tom and Katie Pridgen Rogers. She married James L. “Pete” Murdock. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Surviving are two sons, Sam Williams of Cary, Wade Murdock COL. (R) U.S. Army (and wife, Sonya) of Pinehurst; daughter-in-law, Sherrie (and husband, Vince) Ferraro of Apex; four sisters, Edith, Marie, Willie, and Peggy; four grandchildren, Chris (Lauren Dempsey) Williams of Apex, SPC WILLIAMS, Anthony of Fort Hood, TX; Weston Murdock of Pinehurst, Wyatt Murdock of Pinehurst; and great granddaughter, Isabella Williams of Apex.

Mrs. Murdock was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Cary.

A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery in Cary.
