Helen Wall Phillips

Helen Wall Phillips, 86, a long time resident of Cary, NC died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. Helen had recently relocated to the Atlanta area to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She was born September 25, 1924 in Wake County to the late Judson and Mae (Hogwood) Wall.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Judson and Natalie Phillips of Roswell, GA; grandsons, Austin and Carson Phillips; sisters, Edith Allen of Garner, NC, Topsy Coleman of Garner, NC, Emily Moore of Apex, NC; sister-in-law, Pauline Wall of Raleigh, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph “Rudy” Phillips and brother, Lewis Wall.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, February 25, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26 at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC.
