Inez Brigman Rhodes

Inez Brigman Rhodes, 74, passed away May 12, 2010. She was born in Rowland, NC to the late Esma Bass and Howard Reedy Brigman. She lived and worked for 18 years in Fayetteville, NC before moving to Cary, NC in 1975. She worked as a branch manager at Cross Creek Savings and Loan in Fayetteville, NC and at Farmington Woods Elementary school in Cary as a teacher's assistant. She loved people of all ages, but especially children. She also had a great fondness for animals. Her family was her heart and she loved them dearly and loved doing things for them to let them know how special they were to her. She will be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Rhodes, her daughter Alisa Rhodes Pelz and husband Roger of Huntersville, NC, her daughter Alison Carroll Rhodes of Cary, grandson Jacob Pelz of Huntersville, NC, her sister Mary Burns of Greensboro, NC, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will also be missed by her little dog, Gracie.

A funeral service will be held 2PM Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.

The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, Office of Development, DUMC 3828, Durham, NC 27710.
