Irene Elizabeth Kozik

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Irene Elizabeth Kozik who departed this life on January 20th 2026 in Cary NC. Born April 2nd 1935 in Ware, Massachusetts to Henry and Mary Kozik. Irene graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts as a registered dietician.

She dedicated almost 40 years of her life working at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. Rene was a devoted aunt and friend who always gave kind words of encouragement, a witty response, sprinkles of “Polish Luck”, or a great investment tip. One of Rene’s biggest passions in life was traveling. She traveled to every continent on the globe, including Antarctica.

Irene is survived by her 4 nieces Suzan, Kristin, Robyn and Lisa and their children Meghan, Shannon, Eva Ruth, Cole and Sydney.

A graveside service will be held at Wake Memorial Park, located at 7002 Green Hope School Rd, Cary, NC, 27519, on February 9, 2026, starting at 12:00 pm.
