Jacob William Erkert

Jacob William Erkert, 23 years old, tragically passed away on March 18th, 2024. Jacob leaves behind many loving family and friends including his Mother, Amy Erkert, his Father, William Erkert, his four siblings Emily, Maggie, Becky and Eli, his grandparents Donald and Fredricka Miller and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was an old soul and was extremely gifted and talented in so many ways. He loved playing guitar, ukulele, writing lyrics, going to concerts and singing loudly so the world could hear! Music was his way of life. “Where words fail, music speaks.” He was a student at wake tech majoring in forestry. He was a gifted writer and he applauded himself, and was applauded by others on the papers he wrote and the speeches he gave. He was an animal lover, and animals loved him. He loved and cherished his cat Lucy, or as he would call her, “The Goose.”

Jacob will be dearly missed by so many. He had a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will never be forgotten and he will be kept alive through so many cherished memories. May his soul rest peacefully.
