

Janet M. Quinlivan, wife of the late Joseph T. Quinlivan, passed peacefully in Raleigh, NC on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the beloved mother of Peggy Tamul (Larry), Daniel, Nancy Kadri (Ron), Maureen May (the late Christopher), Michael (Evelyn Grau), Jeanne Casciere (Bruce), Gerry (Nina), Anne McEntee (Vinny), Tom (Lisa), and Patty Chandley (Tom). She had 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A native of Lancaster, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion Klee and sister of the late Donald Klee (Lucy). Janet graduated from the nursing program at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Once married, she assisted Joe in the office of his dental practice and soon became a full time Mom and homemaker. She was a volunteer at St. Benedict School and St. Leo the Great in Amherst, NY. Janet was an avid sports fan, particularly when cheering for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music, old movies, nature, reading, travel, bowling, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Janet was a woman of faith and passed this on to her children. She was “Command Central” with all the family updates over the years. Janet experienced great joy from opening her home to overflowing generations with food, fun, and laughter. She will always be remembered for her generosity, compassionate listening, sense of humor, and unconditional love.
A memorial service will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00 am, followed by a light reception. A funeral mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd, Amherst, NY on Monday May 19 at 9 am. A reception will follow at the church.
