Jean Denton Rogerson

Jean Denton Rogerson, 92, died July 15, 2026. Born December 30, 1933, in Tarboro, North Carolina, Jean was the daughter of the late Richard Brantley Denton and Grace Winchester Denton. Jean resided in Cary, North Carolina.

Jean worked as a claims adjuster for Aetna Life Insurance Company, a role that reflected the steady care and reliability for which she was cherished. Through the years, Jean remained a beloved presence to those who knew her, offering quiet strength and enduring devotion to family, faith, and community.

Jean was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church in Cary, where her life was rooted in fellowship and service.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenith “Billy” Rogerson.

Jean is survived by two children, Kenny Rogerson (Molly) and Betsy Rogerson Harris (Greg); brother, Richard Denton; grandchildren, Lauren Harris Sweetman (Dave), Benjamin Brantley Harris (Jenny) and Genna Grace Rogerson; and three great grandchildren, Jackson Miles Sweetman, Owen Robert Sweetman, and Eliza Ann Harris.

A graveside service will be held 11am Friday, July 17, 2026 at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cary, NC.
