Jeanine June Mennear, born July 24, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice Home of Raleigh, NC with her family at her side. Jeanine was the fourth of four children born to Albert Waara and Zetta Keillor Waara and was preceded in death by her parents and two of her siblings, Norman A. Waara and Wilma Joyce Ballard. Jeanine grew up in Flint, MI and lived in West Lafayette, IN and in Cary, NC for nearly 60 years.
Jeanine leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 63 years, John H. Mennear; daughter and son-in-law, Diane L. and Loran Baxter of CA; son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Catherine Mennear of NC; son, Allen J. Mennear of NC; and daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Troy Hirt of NC; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Mennear, David Jackson, A.J. Mennear, Gwennaelle and Paul Thompson, Samuel and Brittany Mennear, Jacob and Carmen Mennear, Sara Hirt; and one great grandson, Zayne Mennear. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia P Hensler of Freeland, MI.
The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511 on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Wake Memorial Park Mausoleum, 7002 Green Hope School Road, Cary, NC 27519.
