John Camillo Ferdinando

John C. Ferdinando, born November 23, 1938, passed on Saturday January 13, 2024 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Anna S. Ferdinando of Cary, North Carolina, who he was married to for 30 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa Morris (Ricky) of Pittsboro, North Carolina; sons, Tony, Keith, and Kenny Ferdinando all of Wilmington North Carolina; step children, David F. Hinson (Kelly) of Cary, North Carolina, Melinda Gentry (Terry) of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Andrea Cook (Dean) of Norwood, North Carolina. He has thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one miracle great-grandchild on the way.

In addition to his parents, Joseph and Josephine Ferdinando, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, all of New York.

John was a member of Westwood Baptist Church of Cary, North Carolina where he served as a deacon, usher, and a joyous greeter. He also served as a member of the American Legion Post 69 of Cary, North Carolina. He was an Advocate Judge for the past 2 years. Along with working multiple jobs and serving the church, John served his country as a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In lieu of flowers, the family asking that donations are made in his memory to The Westwood Baptist Church Caring Way Project.

His celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Westwood Baptist Church, 200 Westhigh St. Cary, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 PM, prior to the service in the church foyer.
