John Eric Hartlieb

John was born on December 8, 1946 and grew up in Yonkers, NY and has lived in NC for the past 34 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Erich and Ernestine Hartlieb.

John served in the armed services and was retired from IBM (1993) and Fluor Daniel (2007)

His interests included avid reading, golfing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Maria Cardone; son, Jason Hartlieb (and future daughter -in-law, Linda Karten); daughter, Jennifer Mayes; granddaughter, Morgan Mayes; brothers, George Hartlieb (and sister-in-law, Barbara Huber), and Brian Hartlieb; brother-in-law, Carmine Cardone (and sister-in-law, Betty); cousin, Linda Evans; beloved cousins and close family friends; AND HIS BELOVED PET, Amber.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary with a visitation following the service.
