John Andrew Niver, 62, of Raleigh, NC passed away on December 18, 2024. A graduate of Cary High School, John worked at K-Mart and at Wake Enterprises for several years. He was a resident of the Glen Forest Group Home operated by Autism Services, Inc. John enjoyed gardening, playing baseball with Miracle League of the Triangle, needle crafts, puzzles, music, movies, fishing, shopping, visiting family, and especially good food. John was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and good friend, always thinking of others and enjoyed being busy and productive.
He is predeceased by his parents James M. and Edna L. Niver and survived by siblings James H. “Jim” Niver, Thomas C. “Chris” Niver (Claire), Laura N. Jones (Peter), and a very special sister, Teresa Carter. Also, nieces AnneClaire Cleaver (Charles), Virginia “Ginny” Niver, Harper Niver (Steve Prosyniuk) and nephew Ethan Jones.
The Niver family will receive friends and family at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511 with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
