Jon- As Beth said earlier, it was such a unique, cool experience to have so many of the Rouse cousins quite close in age and the fun times we had together at family events. On a personal note, I feel truly blessed to sit down and have a long chat with you at Kate's wedding. We shared some laughs, talked about some common interests, and I got to know you at a much more personal level than I had before. In light of these unfortunate events, I am so thankful to have had that time with you. Rest In Peace Jon.

Jon, I know we didn't see eye to eye more than a few times, but I truly did care about you . I would pop up to check on you and we had quite a few meaningful conversations. When I was going through difficult times you would talk to me and explain why things were the way they were, when I could not understand. You would help me to open my eyes to see that not everything was just black and white and open my eyes to see the bigger picture. . We had our spats , but I was proud of you and the effort you made. Not only were you Mike's cousin, but also his best friend and code buddy. It is heartbreaking that you had to leave us so young and no one could ever fill your shoes, you're one of a kind. I know you are at peace watching over your family. To Carol and Ben, my heart and love goes out to you especially, I am so sorry for your loss and I have had you in my prayers.

Carol, I am so sorry for your loss.  My heart just aches for you.  I pray you find peace and comfort in your faith in God.

Cousins are the first friends we have as children. They are the best of both worlds because they are family and friends at the same time. It was fun being the same age~ We shared a lot of childhood memories along with all our family! You were such a smart young man as well as a very talented musician! You will be so missed.

Jon, your visit to Wilmington last summer will always be a happy and fun memory.  You and your mom brought us joy and laughter.  How she adored you! (And always will.)  You were a gifted and bright spirit, and my family will never forget you.  Aunt Rain and Uncle Tom, and Zach, Matt and Kate and families

Jon's time on earth was cut short.  We are saddened from our loss but rejoice in his reunion in heaven with our other loved ones who have gone before.  Grab a guitar (harp?) and join in the choir, Jon.  You will be a great addition!  We miss you!

To my Sistah Carol.... there are no words to express my sympathy.  You and Jon have not been out of my thoughts since I heard the news.  Jon could not have ever had a better mother.  Your love and devotion to him was so very beautiful.  I'm happy that my last memory of him is the Facebook posting of the both of you.  What a special bond you had.  Although he has left this earth way too early, he, and you have left a loving impact on me.  I believe that souls do meet again and I know you will both be connected again in heaven.  I can't wait to see you and please know how much we all share in your sadness.  With all my love.  Liz
