Jonathan was a faithful child of God. He was a valiant, dear, gentle man who grasped life with both hands. We loved him and grieve for him. Our love to all his family.

Jon was the epitome of courage, a lover of life! We will cherish our memories of Jonathan.

Hearing this news makes my heart heavy with sadness. I remember all the good  times my son Chris and Johnathon had during their younger years. All the times at Brandon church also brings back special memories. Johnathon fought hard to stay with his family. Now he is with the  Lord and has no pain. God bless Mr and Mrs Hobden and his other family members during this very sad time. He is now at peace.

I will always cherish the memories of Jonathan at the Rectory in Burrowsville and the many trips to Las Cruces over the years, but my fondest memory will be of Christmas 2015 when we made a visit to Cary to surprise Brian, and were treated to our own surprise by Jonathan and Mary, to join their family for Christmas dinner.  God granted us a wonderful afternoon with Jonathan and his family.  My prayers are with you all, now and always.

God saw you getting tired,
a cure was not to be,
so He put His arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
once loving hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to Mr. & Mrs. Hobden,Heather,Britton, Ashleigh,Abigail, Simon & Andrew. Johnathan was a courageous fighter and warrior and never complained. He loved his family very much.I was so glad I was able to vist him and his family on their journeys before settling to North Carolina. I will miss you my great friend!!
