Jordan was born on February 22nd, 1986, in Pensacola, FL, to Samuel Scott and Tammy Lynn Benson Russ. He was a forward thinking, passionate, creative young man that developed into an entrepreneurial spirit. Jordan was an “idea “ person, who could envision turning his dreams into reality. He designed a tattoo that was on his back which read “Chasing Dreams”. He began his love for cars as a child, building remote control cars and working on them relentlessly. Though they frustrated him, they challenged him to keep trying. He had a patience for figuring out things from an early age.
At 21 years of age, he started his own automotive repair shop, which flourished and gave him an outlet for his creativity and love of cars. His most recent shop was Empowered Autosport, which he tried tirelessly to turn into a new kind of experience for his client base. Jordan also enjoyed flying drones and created dynamic videos from the combination of drones and cameras. His proudest accomplishment in life was his beloved son, Adam.
In addition to his parents, Jordan is survived by his son, Adam Jordan Russ; brother, David Scott Russ; grandmother, Joy Liner Mills; grandparents John and Reba Benson and grandfather, William Albert Russ. He is also survived by his former wife, Kristin Armstrong Russ and his current love, Ashley Wentz. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
