Joyce C. Denmark

Joyce was born November 22, 1931 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Madison Burrus Connell and Lina Mae Reynolds Connell. She was a graduate of Lake Worth High School and was employed with North Carolina State University in the plant pathology department, retiring with over 20 years of service. Joyce was a member First Baptist Church of Cary.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ryan Connell; and Madison Burrus Connell and his wife, Ruth; sister, Nelva Ventura and her husband, Bill.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence J. Denmark; sons, Lawrence J. Denmark, Jr. and wife, Kelly of Cape Coral, FL; and Michael Denmark and wife, Roxanna of Raleigh. Daughter, Karen Belcher and husband, Jim of Cary. Sister-in-law, Joyce Connell of Bossier City, LA; 10 grandchildren, Erica Jaeh and husband, Matt; Chris Denmark, Paul Denmark, Anya Denmark, Jonathan Denmark, Jordan Denmark, Julianna Denmark, Christopher Belcher and wife, Alison and Jonathan Belcher and Matthew Belcher; two great-grandchildren, Kellen Jaeh and Timothy Belcher.

A memorial service will be held 10 am Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Cary, 218 S. Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
