Judy Caroline Pernell Bradshaw

Judy was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on December 11, 1944. She graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High School in 1964 and continued to complete the program at Mitchell’s Hairstyling as well as Nash County Community College where she received her Nursing Aide Certificate.

Judy was married to Johnnie Clay Bradshaw on January 6; they were married for 41 Years.

Judy worked as a nursing aide for Rex Hospital for 20 years and also retired from Rex Hospital. She enjoyed her family, friends, and loved her animals.

Judy is survived by Husband, Johnnie C. Bradshaw; step-son Johnnie C. Bradshaw III (Stephanie); and one grandson Emerson Matthew Bradshaw. Judy is survived by 2 brothers Tommy Wayne Pernell, and Larry Eugene Pernell. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as cousins, aunts and uncles.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Jesse Eugene and Lula Caroline Pernell; and son Michael Wayne Koger.

A graveside service will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park, Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 1PM. Reverend Burke Holland will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association; the American Cancer Association; or your local SPCA.
