June Nga Lu was born in Vietnam to Chinese parents from Hainan on December 29, 1949. She was the fifth of six children; having two older sisters, two older brothers, and one younger sister. She spent her formative years in Vietnam where she met her husband of 50 years, another Chinese immigrant, Jimmy Hua.
June would later immigrate to Hong Kong where she married on March 7, 1974. She lived in Hong Kong for 2 years before immigrating again to Paris, France. June and Jimmy resided in Paris for over a year before finally immigrating to the United States. June gave birth to her first child, a daughter, Vivian, that same year. Her second child, a son, Bryan, was born 4 years later.
June would visit her siblings and cousins while raising her own family as a homemaker. She traveled, learned to swim, and also practiced Tai Chi. June’s first granddaughter, Roseleen, was born in 2016 and a second granddaughter, Lillian, in 2019. June loved to laugh and dine well without overindulging. Her primary joy was giving care and attention to her family. She will be dearly missed.
The celebration of June Hua's life will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 1 to 3 PM. Pastor Paul Leitzell will say a few words on behalf of the family at 1:00pm
