Kathleen Jordan Shepard

Born January 31, 1928 in Richwood, WV, to the late Lloyd Jordan and Esta Harris Jordan, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean S. Shepard and her siblings, Lloyd Garfield Jordan, Lulladean Jordan Craft and Thomas Cray Jordan.

Kathleen worked for many years with the Weyerhaeuser Company both in Plymouth, NC and later in New Bern, NC where she retired. She pursued a career in real estate and subsequently relocated to Morehead City, NC. Kathleen loved the beaches where she enjoyed family gatherings, collecting local art, and walking her little dog B.B. (Beach Buddy). With her zest for life, sense of humor and quick smile, those who knew her, easily felt her warmth, compassion and kindness.

She is survived by her son, Lloyd Brian Nobles and wife Denise of Plymouth, NC; daughter, Tana Nobles Kearns and husband Michael of Fuquay Varina, NC; granddaughters, Kimberly Jane Nobles of Winterville, NC; Kristin Nobles White and husband Trent of Windsor, NC; great-grandchildren Taylor Dylan White and Reed Nobles White of Windsor, NC.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Waltonwood, 750 SE Cary Parkway, Cary, NC. The family will have a private interment at a later date.
