Khai Trong Do

Giuse Khai Trong Do, age 53, of Cary, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 5th, 2022. Khai was born August 1st, 1968 in Vietnam. With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of Giuse Khai Trong Do, a dedicated father, a loving husband, a caring son, an inspiring friend, and a tireless community worker and activist. Khai passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, May 5th, 2022. Khai spent his childhood years in Vietnam before immigrating to Charlotte, North Carolina with his family in 1982. After graduating from North Carolina State University in 1992 until his passing, Khai made the Raleigh-Cary area his home. During his time in this area, Khai has built a great family with his wife, Thanh Mai Mai, and their two sons, Adam and Andrew. Khai was also a leader or a key contributor for the following organizations: The Vietnamese Student Association at North Carolina State University, The Ve Nguon Foundation, Ngan Phuong Magazine, The Vietnamese American Association of Raleigh, North Carolina, Our Lady of Lavang of North Carolina, Voice of Love, Viet Toc Foundation, Vietnam Healing Foundation, Lac Viet Senior Club of Raleigh, Boy Scouts of America, The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement, and the Faith Formation at Our Lady of La Vang. In Khai, we see the perfect example of a person, a human being. Anyone who knew Khai was touched by his kindness, humor, friendliness, eagerness to help. Khai was always a source of positivity, of help for anyone who was in need and for the multiple organizations he was involved with. Khai poured his heart and soul into his family, his friends, his community, his Church, this country, and his mother country of Vietnam. We will never forget his dedication to his family and everyone in his life. In death or life, Khai will always be remembered as a pillar for his family, his community, and his Church.
