

Lee Duffy Mazan, 86, born in Burlington, VT died Sunday, October 4, 2015. Lee is survived by her four children, Duffy, Lori, Michelle and Michael, 8 grandchildren, Duncan, Cameron, Mike, Mai, Cailin, Finn, Matthew and Emily and by her sister, Dorothy Burns of Burlington, VT. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Walter Lawrence Mazan and by her parents, George and Harriett Duffy of Clearwater, FL.
Lee had vagabond shoes and loved to travel, visiting every continent including Antarctica. She had a successful career as a travel agent with Neiman Marcus Travel in Bethesda, MD. While residing in the Washington, DC area, Lee was an active part of the DC social scene, attending inaugural balls, swearing-in ceremonies and chairing the Cherry Blossom Festival Planning Committee. She had the opportunity to attend events with four presidential administrations, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon and Bush, and to meet many wonderful people in her life. Lee was also a homemaker, mother, and hostess, successfully raising four children in Arlington, VA, while organizing and hosting social and fundraising events. Prior to marriage, Lee lived and modeled clothing in New York City. Lee didn’t want her friends and family to be sad at her passing, instead she wished for everyone to celebrate her happy, exciting and fulfilling life.
