Linda Rose Young

Ms. Linda Rose Young, 64, of Greensboro, NC was joyfully reunited with her loved ones in Heaven on Sunday, August 28, 2016 after a brief illness. Linda was a native of Cary, NC where she owned Linda’s Piano Studio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ and a master’s degree in organ performance from Meredith College, Raleigh, NC. As Minister of Music, Linda served several churches in her career including most recently Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. One of her passions for making music included directing handbells. Linda served as the Handbell Choir Director for several churches over the years and had donated several sets of handbells to church music programs across the state. In addition to her love of playing and teaching music, Linda enjoyed travelling and swimming.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert C. Young and Peggy B. Young of Cary, NC for whom she was a devoted Caregiver and brother-in-law, Clay L. Fox of Blairsville, GA. She is survived by sisters Betsy Y. Fox of Blairsville, GA and Sandra Y. Drews of Greensboro, NC; and one niece, five nephews, one great niece and three great nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary at 3 pm on Friday, September 2. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choice.
