

She was born on January 25, 1942, in Tampa, Florida, and spent most of her childhood in South Carolina before making North Carolina her home. After graduating from Chesterfield High School and Appalachian State University, she devoted her professional life to teaching and later to career advising. Louise fiercely loved her family, who were the center of her world. Her unwavering faith in God was the foundation of that love and sustained her throughout her life.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Simmons; her son-in-law, David; her granddaughters, Rachel and Claire; her brother, Sedley King Entzminger, Jr.; and beloved extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Sedley King Entzminger and Frances Elizabeth Whitmire Entzminger; her brother, David Warren Entzminger; and her sister, Priscilla Entzminger Welsh.
Visitation with the family will begin at noon on Saturday, July 18, with a celebration of Louise's life at 1:00 p.m. at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pageland, South Carolina.
Louise will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Louise never missed an opportunity to help those who were hungry, and the family invites others to honor her memory through similar acts of kindness.
