Lucy Cummings Lowry

Lucy was born October 31, 1929 in Pembroke, NC to the late McDuffy Cummings and Carrie Baker Cummings.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Cari Whittington; sons, Steve Lowry and Stuart Lowry and his wife, Dena; sister, Mary Marshburn; grandchildren, Maleah, Daniel, Megan and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Harper and Cash; and her close friend, Ervin Dobson.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends 1-2pm prior to the service. A graveside service will be held 1pm Saturday October 20, 2018 at Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton, NC.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Apex and all previous caregivers over the years.
