I will always remember Maddy’s beautiful smile and her amazing personality. I was lucky enough to first bask in her smile when we worked together almost 50 years ago.Maddy stood out. Our first date was at a Country & Western dance hall in an unlikely place; New York City. We had a wonderful time.
We fell madly in love, moved to North Carolina, and got married. Our wedding song was played by a bluegrass band alongside the Eno River. We were home.Maddy loved her waffle sneakers. She enjoyed jogging and ran in several races. She loved to read. Her favorite author was Georgette Heyer. Maddy had a passion for art. She was an award winning artist and illustrator.
She raised two sons, Scott and Sean, and had a great relationship with her step children Garth and Sarah. She loved sunny days at the beach with her family.
She loved God and her church, The Shepherd's Church, where she was a member since 1994. Maddy had a happy and fulfilling life. I am blessed to have been a part of it.
Maddy’s smile beams down on us from Heaven, brighter than ever.
