She participated in many Bible studies through the years and was still active in the Sharing Table Bible Study group which brought her so much joy. She was also active in the Stephen Ministry at her church.
During her daughters' youth, she and Charlie were active in the United Methodist Youth Program, serving as leaders and mentors to many. Martha enjoyed her summer mission trips with the youth groups to repair homes with the Appalachian Service Project organization. More recently, Martha enjoyed giving of herself by knitting prayer shawls for others through the church.
Martha worked side by side with her husband, Charlie during his Rotary Club obligations. She was a Paul Harris Fellow as well as an honorary member of the Cary Kildaire Rotary Club.
Martha made a life time of giving to others. Her radiant smile and warm hugs made a difference in so many lives.
