

Mary Jeanne Bevill, 81, died July 30, 2014. She was born in Charleston, MO on December 6, 1932 to Dr. and Mrs. E. Charles Rolwing. She graduated from Maryville College in St. Louis, MO with a degree in Education. Jeanne was a devout member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook and hostess. She enjoyed needlework and playing bridge as well as volunteering at her church.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her son, George Lally Bevill and her brother, Charles Rolwing. She is survived by her husband, of 58 years, Tom Bevill; her son, Dr. C. Thomas Bevill III and his wife, Mary Jane of Cartersville, GA; daughters, Claire Denham and husband, Dean of Morrisville and Ellen Nitz of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, John Rolwing and wife, Joyce of Evans, GA; nine grandchildren, Amanda McClung, Megan Bevill, Ben Bevill, Catie Nitz, Peter Nitz, Molly Nitz, Chris Nitz, David Nitz and Sam Denham; three great-grandchildren, Lucy and Jude McClung, and Wylie Bevill.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary at 11:00am. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
