Born in Brooklyn, New York on October 10, 1939, Mary Margaret Farrell was the youngest of eight. She and her twin brother Frank were affectionately known as "Sister and Brother".
She grew up across the street from Louis Soleo, in Brooklyn and on May 20,1961, she married him, the love of her life. They raised their family on Long Island, New York. Mary was a full-time homemaker for most of her life. She was known for being a gracious hostess and famous for being a wonderful cook. She loved to bring the entire extended family together for all birthdays and holidays. Everyone loved to come to Mary's house!
When Louie retired in 1997, he and Mary moved to Cary, North Carolina in order to be close to their children and grandchildren. Her everlasting love of her family, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren brought joy to her life and to all those around her.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary brought happiness, humor, and kindness to everyone with whom she encountered. She truly was a friend to everyone she met.
Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis M. Soleo, as well as her loving children, Elaine (Joe), Louis (Cari) and Susan. Her grandchildren include Joseph, Thomas, and Matthew Vollaro; Lauren and William Soleo; and Michael Soleo. Predeceased by siblings James, John, Joe, Billy, Anne, Dorothy and twin brother Frank.
