Matthew Stone

Matt was a caring, compassionate young man who would take care of his friends and family before himself. He was extremely caring, giving, and kind.

Matthew was born on June 25, 1979 to David Allan and Mary Lou (Jenkins) Stone in Manchester, NH. Matthew spent his childhood in Bow, NH and his teenage & young adult years here in Cary, NC, where he graduated high school. Matthew was energetic, vibrant, and athletic. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing Frisbee golf. Matthew had an infectious smile that put everyone at ease.

He is survived by his beloved parents, David and Mary Lou Stone of Cary; loving girlfriend, Emily Boettcher; grandmother, Joyce Turner of Bedford, NH; aunts and uncles, Linda Malo (Paul) of Pembroke, NH, Carol Heald of Bedford, NH, Dianne Oliva (Larry) of Gardner, MA, and Robert Jenkins (Marianne) of Bedford, NH.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials in Matthew's name may be to Cary EMS, out of appreciation from the family for their tremendous kindness.
