Maurice Jerome LaBiche Jr.

Maurice was born in Meridian, Mississippi to Maurice Jerome LaBiche Sr. and Teresa Bailey LaBiche. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and quickly moved to the big city of Dallas, Texas to kick start his career in Software Engineering with Advanced Business Communications (ABC). Three years later he moved his talent to Ericsson where he met his adoring wife, Martina Hughes. He and Martina married in Dublin, Ireland and soon started their family in Dallas with the birth of their first child, Orla. His passion for hi-tech coupled with a flourishing career in Software System Engineering in the telecommunication industry, allowed him to make significant impacts at start-ups, Pinpoint, USA Video as well corporate entities Ericsson, Nortel, Siemens, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. He and his family traveled abroad to live and work in Stockholm, Sweden for 5 years. They returned to the States, settled in Cary, North Carolina and soon added their son Cian to the family.

Predeceased by his father Maurice Sr. and sister Rose Mary LaBiche, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Martina Hughes, his daughter Orla LaBiche, son Cian LaBiche, mother, Teresa Bailey LaBiche, sisters, Elizabeth LaBiche, and Teresa L. LaBiche, (Erik Nygard) and brother Steven LaBiche as well as large group of Hughes and LaBiche family members from far and wide.

Maurice was a man of many talents, wisdoms and whimsies. First and foremost he was a loving and supportive husband to his wife Martina, and father to his children Orla and Cian. He loved his guitar, his coffee, cooking meals for his family and friends and a dip in the pool. He appreciated the quirky twist that life presented and often captured them in photos he took, t-shirts he wore and music he played. He loved to travel to explore new cultures, food and beauty. Creative, smart, funny and loving Maurice will be greatly missed by all.
