Mercedes Jean Dossi

Mercedes Jean Dossi, 86, a longtime resident of CA, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Cary, NC. She was born on April 19, 1925 in Mentcle, PA to Angelo and Natalina Gamberoni. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and teacher, her true passion was her love for family, children and education.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Edwards and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Edwards; sisters, Armida Roeder and Lena Freel; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvanis Dossi and brothers, Danilo and Narciso Gamberoni.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Funeral services and burial will be in CA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County or Alzheimers North Carolina.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunrise of Cary for their loving care and friendship over the past 2 ½ years.
