Michael Joseph Daniels, age 39, passed away August 11, 2026. Born December 5, 1986, in Wake County, North Carolina. Michael lived life with respect, kindness and the willingness to help anyone that crossed his path; however, family was number one. A loving and devoted son to his parents. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins all excited Mike his entire life and time spent with them was priceless.
Michael is survived by;
His father Joseph Swain Daniels, A proud father of the 3lb-15oz miracle boy the lord brought into his life. So proud, he shared his name, love for family and cherished every second of time they spent together. Joe led by example and Mike took the guidance and turned out to have the same likes, core values and a gift to carry on a conversation with anyone. Joe and Mike were so much alike, their electronic devices could not distinguish between them. Mike always shared his work experiences at the end of the day in such detail and passion because doing a good job that was appreciated was important to him. Although Mike made some bad choices in life, he ALWAYS took responsibility for them and did what was required to make things right. A trate is father ALWAYS admired. Joe was blessed for the time spent with his amazing son.
His mother Shelia Stanley Daniels. Michael loved his mother unconditionally and was always there for her. An emotional Rock and Best Friend! Majority of the conversations were about family, Shelia's happy place and Mike's as well. So much laughter and good feelings came from those conversations! Although both didn't see eye to eye on everything, Mike always stood his ground but had a special way of communicating that no matter how things turned out, she was loved and he was there for her. Shelia was blessed to have such a loving, caring and compassionate son.
His brother Matthew Robert Daniels and wife Jordan. Mike was Matt's mentor, hero and best friend in the wonder years. When you saw Mike, Matt was close by. Both played baseball for years but teamed up on their father wanting to switch to hockey. Hockey it was! Both were great skaters and excelled at the game; however, Matt worked harder due to wanting to be as good as his brother. The hard work paid off for Matt and Mike noticed the potential of his little brother and did everything he could to help and make Matt better. Although they grew apart over time due to the avenues each took in their lives, Mike always loved him and was so proud of his brother's accomplishments.
His daughter Paisley Rae Daniels. The light of Mike's life! Mike was so proud of his smart little girl!! Things eventually didn't work out between Mike and her mother which in turn separated Paisley from Mike. Mike dealt with the hole in his heart daily until he died. He couldn't talk about the situation without breaking down in tears, so he suffered in silence. We pray they will meet again.
His Aunt Barbra Stanley Woodard. As mentioned, family was number one; however, Aunt Barbra was the one he loved the most. They could talk for hours about goods times had with family in the past and come up with ways to gather together for meaningful times in the future. Barbra always addressed Mike as her second son, enjoyed Mike's company and they had an unbreakable bond. It filled Mike's heart with so much joy.
His circle of friends. You know who you are. All of Mike's closest friends knew they had a good one! Loyalty, trustworthy, compassion, consideration and help if needed. He'll never be forgotten.
His closest companion Bubba. As Mike was an emotional rock for some and best friend to others, Bubba covered all those bases for Mike. Anxiety lowered and calum set in when their eyes and smiles met at the end of each day. The unconditional hugs, kisses and special moments together made Mike's days, weeks and years. Both were blessed to have each other.
Michael loved the outdoors and became extremely passionate about waterfowling. The stories of funny mishaps in the early morning hours, cooking the best sausage ever on the blackstone and being with good friends meant so much to Mike. Plans for the Hyde County land will continue in Mike's memory.
Michael Joseph Daniels will be in the hearts and missed by many.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.
