Mildred (Millie) Louella Stevenson Gow entered Heaven quietly just after midnight on December 9, 2020, after a prolonged period of ill health. Millie was born in Mercer County, PA on July 22, 1931 to Harold Este Stevenson and Faye Marie Van Ness Stevenson. Mildred graduated from Penn High School in Greenville, PA and married Duane Edward Gow on October 8, 1952 in North Salem Township, PA. Duane and Mildred lived in Galion, OH for most of the next 17 years. In 1969, they moved to the island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles to serve with the international radio ministry Trans World Radio (TWR). After serving 5 years on Bonaire, they moved to the island of Sri Lanka to begin the ministry’s work there. Three years later, they moved to Monte Carlo, Monaco where they served for 8 years. In 1986, they transferred to Chatham, NJ and after 4 years in that location, the Gows helped to move that ministry from New Jersey to Cary, NC. Millie worked as a receptionist and phone operator in most of those locations. For over 25 years, she was the “voice” of TWR to anyone calling the ministry’s main office.
