Nathan's service was one of the most touching services I've ever attended.  He was obviously a very special kid and handled his disease with great courage and dignity. He's an example for all of us to live up to.

I am so sorry for your sadness with the loss of Nathan.  I am Joe Hill's cousin, Jenny Smith, and Joe and Nathan were good buddies during their time at Duke.  They were probably "partners in crime" with their many antics during their stay at Duke.  I can tell Nathan, like Joe, brightened many paths wherever he walked.  There is no greater loss than the loss of a child.  I pray your many pleasant memories will sustain you during these days and to also know that Heaven is an even more joyful place today with these two special young man.  May God bless you.

As My Wife Put That We Do Not Know The Family Personally, But I Am Related To Daniel, I Am Sorry For Your Loss But Do Not Shed Tears Of Sorrow For Nathan Has Went Home To The Lord Where He Will Be Watching Over All Of Us Sitting By Our Savior Jesus Christ For One Day We Will Be United Again In God's Kingdom.

I do not know your family personally but saw the obituary in the herald sun paper in durham today.  I lost my 18 year old son along with his best friend in a car accident on 8-28-10. The pain is more than I can bear at times. I know as a mother and parent the pain you feel.  There is not greater loss than that of a child.  You will be in my prayers as the days ahead  will be so hard and because i know the hole that will always be in your heart.  Cling to the wonderful memories of a life that was so precious. I pray that the Lord will wrap his arms around your entire family at this time.  Life will be forever changed but the memories of Nathan will always remain in your heart and mind.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I do not know if you remember me.  We attended Parkway Elementary and Watauga High School.  I am so sorry about your son.  I could not imagine what you are going through.  I am praying for you and your family.

You have my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your son. I do not know Nathan or the family, but I lost my son in January of 2010 after what a dr said was a routine heart procedure.  There can be no pain as devastating as the loss of a child.  I wish you peace and comfort.

I was an elementary counselor in Durham when Angela was at Hope Valley.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I lost my daughter to a brain tumor when she was 3 so I understand some of what you are going through.  Please get in touch anytime if you want to talk etc.

I do not personally know Nathan or your family, but I happened across Nathan's obituary in today's Herald-Sun.  I noticed his name because I have dear friends with the same last name--and Cameron is also one of their family names.  I am assuming that Nathan's dad is the Cameron Tew I have often read in the Herald-Sun.  I am so sorry for your family's loss.  It is always particulary sad to see of the death of such a young person.  My mother's heart can only imagine what Nathan's parents feel.  May God bless you and give you peace.
