

With heavy hearts, but gratitude to God for a life well lived, we announce the death of Chief Dr. Nnochiri Ekwuribe. Dr. Nnochiri Ekwuribe fell asleep in death on Thursday September 21st, 2017 at the age of 72 after a heart attack coupled with a long battle with cancer. He was well loved and will be missed greatly.
Dr. Ekwuribe, a renowned Researcher, Scholar, and Inventor was internationally acclaimed in the field of Medical Chemistry. Dr. Ekwuribe retired in 2005 as a board member of Nobex Corporation in RTP, NC. He also served as their Vice President of Chemistry Innovation and Drug Discovery until his retirement. The Nobex platform technology was invented by Dr. Ekwuribe, who founded Nobex with the backing of private capital in 1993. Dr. Ekwuribe was the author of numerous scientific abstracts, and publications. Before his passing he had over 130 patents worldwide.
Left to mourn him are his wife of 44 years Lolo Ngozi Ekwuribe , his daughter Chi Chi Okoraofor, her husband Dr. Kingsley Okoraofor and their children, his son Nedum Ekwuribe and his daughter, his son Mechi Ekwuribe , his daughter Chinwe Ekwuribe , his daughter Ebere Ekwuribe, his brother Chiasa Ekwuribe, his wife and children, his Nephew Iheanyi Ekeleme Ekwuribe, his wife and children, his niece Amara Oriaku, her husband and children.
The family will receive from 6-8 pm Friday October 6, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Cary. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Rd., Cary.
