Patricia was born February 12, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, beloved daughter of the late Nicholas Peter and Lillian Pepper Callahan.
She was an amazing mother and homemaker who also worked many years at Holy Cross High School and later at the Delaware State House of Representatives.
Patricia attended the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, Maryland, where she played sports. She was an avid reader, liked to sew, and was active in Church groups as well as women and garden clubs, too.
She and her family lived in Dover, Delaware and summered in Bethany Beach, later retiring with her husband in North Carolina to be closer to her family.
Many specials memories were created at their beach cottage where she enjoyed the ocean, looking for shells, and of course, reading many books.
Her greatest legacy was her family who loved and adored her. She was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph F. Lamb, two sons, Thomas J. Lamb (Emily) of Wilmington, NC, and Kevin J. Lamb (Jill) of Cary, NC, and two daughters, Teresa L. Shade (Winston) of Holly Springs, NC, and Patricia L. Girone (Andrew) of Charleston, SC, and eleven grandchildren. Also surviving her are two brothers, Nicholas P. Callahan Jr. (Pat) of Birmingham, AL, and Michael S. Callahan (Judy) of McHenry, MD, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 9th, 11 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, in Fuquay Varina, NC.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, in Cary, NC, www.brownwynnecary.com.
