

Patricia Ann "Patty" Macy passed away Thursday October 27, 2016 at Brian Center of Durham NC, she was 76 years old. Patricia was born November 25, 1939 in Findlay, Ohio the daughter of Richard and Beatrice Thomas. She was united in marriage to Paul F. Macy on August 4, 1962; they were married for 54 years.
Graduate of Findlay High School, Patricia worked as a secretary for Marathon Oil in Findlay, she was a full time stay at home Mom for her 5 kids in Avon Lake, Ohio. She worked as a Librarian for the Avon Lake Library. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making dinners for her family and friends. She enjoyed all the holidays, decorating her home with her kids, and having everyone home at the same time.
She enjoyed sports, watching football and baseball. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Toledo Rockets, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed going to sporting events and taking part in tailgating activities. Over the years she spent a lot of time working on crafts; needlepoint, creating flower displays, and creating big wreaths for different seasons that would hang over the family room fireplace. Many different holiday displays, and her favorite was working on crafts with her grandchildren, who she loved to care for.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and Mark.
She is survived by her Husband Paul F. Macy, Cary NC. Her sisters Christine VanAtta Findlay OH, and Barb (Ron) Hosler Findlay OH. Her sister-in-law Melanie Thomas, Findlay Ohio. Her children and spouses, sons Doug (Ilona) Macy, Jacksonville FL., Steve (Anne) Macy, Sylvania Twp Ohio, and Christopher Macy, Sylvania Ohio. Daughters Jennifer (Patrick) Tuttle, Cary NC, and Kathryn Macy, Las Vegas, NV. Her 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole, William, Margretta, Sean, Kelsey, Alexandra, Nicholas, McKenzie, Katie, and Cody and 1 great grandchild, Julia.
