Aunt Cathy, Patrick and Mark,

I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Pat was a great man with a big heart and could always lift up a room. I will miss his charisma at family gatherings. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Although we lost a great man, I think it is safe to say that uncle Pat is watching over us from heaven. Love, Alessandra

Dear Cathy,
I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.

To the entire Curran family,

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mr. Curran briefly during his stay at WakeMed Cary, and after reading his obit, realize that we share being from Pittsburgh, PA. My thoughts are with you now at this difficult time. I enjoyed the limited time I had to get to know him.

I was a friend of Pat's for a great part of my childhood, attending the same church and high school together. So many fond memories of him come to mind. He spent time at my home, when we all used to get together as a group, in our younger years. Life took us on different paths as adults, but my carefree times of Pat and friends remain dear to me. My sincere sympathy to all of Pat's family, praying God will give you strength and peace in these difficult days.

Pat was a friend of mine in Pittsburgh from grade school to high school and a member of the North Side Celtics basketball team. He made high school difficult because he was so damn smart and you couldn't keep up with him. A lot of good memories playing basketball at the Boys Club in Carnegie after riding in Mr. Cooper's station wagon with 17 other kids piled in.

Although I didn't know his later family, I know his brother Mike and how close they were throughout their lives. I spent many times at his house and just hanging out together on the Perrysville Ave. wall. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies go out to Cathy and his kids and grandkids and to his brother Mike.
