Pearl Hope Bond

Pearl Hope Horn Bond, mother to Bill & Robin Bond, died peacefully in her sleep on March 30, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life of 95 years. Her final months were spent at home, with her son and daughter-in law.

The daughter of Druey B. and Ardell C. Horn, Pearl was born in Lockhart S.C. on August 2, 1928. Her brothers, Druey and Jay, have gone before. There will be a heavenly reunion as the family is again together.

Known for her outgoing personality and love of friends, "Old, mean & cranky" Pearl will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Pearl's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She loved singing sessions, bible studies and just meeting with folks in the lobby where she lived.

Pearl is survived by her son Bill [Nicole] Bond. Her daughter Robin passed away in 2022.

A ceremony will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary and the family will receive friends there at 6:00pm on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Pearl loved her 2 dogs (Gidget & Bandit) and playing with all her "rescue grandkids" (cats & dogs). In lieu of flowers she would love a gift to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
