

Pearl Delores Kendrick Brown, 84, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, went home to her Lord and Savior peacefully on January 14, 2025. Delores was born April 18, 1940 in Taylors, SC and raised in Marietta, GA.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her son Chris Brown (Ginger) of Cary, NC, son Andy Brown (Midge) of Asheville, NC, and daughter Suzanne Fulghum (Bobby) of Raleigh, NC. Delores was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Tyler Brown (Maddie), Cameron Beckman (David), Jacob Brown, Bryant Fulghum, Savannah Fulghum, Brodie Fulghum and four great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind two brothers, Steve Kendrick (Leta), Cecil Kendrick, sister-in-law Barbara Kendrick, and many other family members who mourn her passing.
Delores was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Howard Estee Brown, whose memory she cherished deeply, her parents R.C. and Geraldine Kendrick and brothers, Dick Kendrick and Jim Kendrick.
She distinguished herself academically, graduating as valedictorian from Osborne High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Chattanooga with a degree in Medical Technology. Delores embarked on a fulfilling career as a Medical Technician at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem and Rex Hospital in Raleigh and later worked at IBM. Her dedication and expertise were evident throughout her professional life. Delores found joy in traveling, attending gospel music concerts and cherished moments spent surrounded by her family. She will be remembered fondly for unwavering faith, generosity and the profound impact she made on all who knew her.
A visitation to celebrate Delores' life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 am, the location has changed to Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC; followed by services at 11:00 am to honor her memory.
