

Peggy Scollon (nee Watkins), aged 85, passed away on October 18, 2024, in her hometown of Morrisville, North Carolina. Born on June 18, 1939, also in Morrisville, Peggy was known for her radiant presence and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
A loving wife to Clarence Scollon and a devoted mother to her sons, Patrick (Wife Sarah) and Chris (Wife Tracy) Scollon, Peggy's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to her friends and community. She was a person who saw no strangers, only friends she hadn't met yet, and her ability to make anyone feel loved was one of her most cherished qualities.
Peggy found joy in her hobbies, which included cooking and working with plants. Her famous chocolate pie was a testament to her culinary passion, bringing delight to many gatherings. Her green thumb brought life to her garden, a place where she found peace and contentment.
She was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she participated in various community activities, further showcasing her commitment to service and community engagement.
Peggy is predeceased by her parents Earnest and Stella Watkins.
Peggy leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, sons, grandchildren-Will (Wife Courtney), Lindsi, Morgan, Cole (Wife Sarah), Clay, and Tara Scollon---and great-grandchildren--Peyton, Vance, and Easton Scollon. Her legacy of love, kindness, and Joyous spirit will continue to live on through them.
Peggy Scollon will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a beacon of love and friendship, whose life was a beautiful imprint on the hearts of those she touched.
A Visitation will be held at Brown Wynne Cary 200 S Maynard Cary NC 27511 on Tuesday October 29,2024 from 5:00-8:00pm. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513 on Wednesday October 30,2024 at 12:00pm.
