Ramona Hall Sauls

She is survived by her son, Lane Sauls, and his wife Tara along with two grandchildren, Drew and Ella Sauls all of Holly Springs, NC.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Gene Sauls and her parents, Drew and Thelma Hall.

She was born in Elizabethtown, NC in 1929 and spent her early years in southeastern NC between Elizabethtown and Carolina Beach. She graduated from New Hanover High School in the late 40’s and attended classes at Wilmington College, now the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Ramona married the love of her life in 1957 and the family moved to Raleigh in 1972. She was widowed in 1979.

Ramona lived in Raleigh for nearly 40 years before transitioning to live with her son and daughter-in-law in 2010. She enjoyed gardening and birdwatching but will be remembered most as a loving and devoted Mother/Grandmother and friend. A faithful Christian and servant of the Lord, she was blessed with numerous close friendships. Her heart touched many and her love for others remained consistent throughout her last days. The family sincerely thanks the Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Lee County staff for their compassion and care.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SW Maynard Drive, Cary, NC. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the service.
