I was so sorry to hear about Rita. I knew her from Jazzercise. We had a lot of great talks after class. She always had a smile on her face. I will miss her dearly. My condolences to her loving family.

May God rest her soul!  We are sad to hear of the news of Rita's passing. I'm sure there where many angels and our Lady ready to bring her home.

I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RITA'S PASSING; I KNEW HER FROM BOTH JAZZERCISE AND ST. ANDREW'S. SOMETIMES I WOULD SEE HER AT MASS AND SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE, DESPITE HER ILLNESS. SOMETIMES I JOINED HER GROUP OF GIRLS FOR COFFEE AFTER JAZZERCISE AND SHE WOULD BRING SOME GOODIES THAT SHE HAD BAKED. MY HEART IS FULL AND I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, AND THE LOSS OF ALL HER FRIENDS. I WAS SORRY TO MISS THE SERVICE. PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU FROM ME.

I remember Rita foremost for her beauty, she was sooo beautiful, but on the inside too.  I haven't seen her in such a long time.  Looking at the picture of her posted here made me cry, she was an awesome person! Heaven has another angel~

Rita was a kindred spirit.  We shared a heritage, a religion and all the joys of life those similarities included.  She epitomized a woman who believed in the value of living life with faith and never wavered in her goals to champion her family AND friends through her love, her food, and her wisdom - peppered with compassion and humor!  
She was my "sister in sweat" as we danced along side one another at Jazzercise.  She was my confidant at Jabber-size (coffee hour after Jazzercise) where we sat together with the other Jazz-buddies for more hours than we'd ever admit to - sharing stories of life's trails, joys and triumphs while giving good counsel along the way.  
The hole in my heart her death has left will heal eventually, but I will always have a scar - to remind me of the depth of our friendship and love.  I hope all of you, her family, who will have to adjust to a new normal without her will forever feel the love of her spirit and remember she lives on in all of you!  And remember:  "When someone's love is in your heart, they're never truly gone!"  Please know you will remain in my prayers always.  
I blow a kiss to heaven and say, "I Love You Rita!" and send hugs to all the Cuomo family, especially Jerry, Stephanie, Jerry & Andrea and their families.  God Bless & Keep You Always!

I had the pleasure of knowing Rita for the past year and a half through jazz and coffee.  She was a special person who always had a smile for everyone.  I am so glad to have known her.  My thoughts and prayers are with you

My memories:  Jazzercise.  Many years. Always with a smile. Fun. Generous. Rita will be greatly missed.

I only knew Rita from Jazzercise. When my wife passed away and I started to come alone, Rita was one of the first to invite me to "coffee" afterwards. Rita seemed to have a jest for life and especially good food. She will be missed.

My heart and prayers are with you as we all mourn Rita's passing. She was our diamond sparkling in our lives. I am forever grateful for her wonderful friendship.  She taught me about what really matters in life and brought joy to all who knew her.  She valued faith, love of family and friends and kindness to so many.  Rita had intuitive wisdom and compassion. Her cooking was her way to make people "feel good." I loved her meatballs, sauce,eggplant Parmesan and so many delicious dishes.  God blessed my life when I met Rita and Jerry.  Rita's memory will live forever in my heart.

Rita was a great person. I will always remember the smile on her face at the 9:30 am Jazzercise class. Her favorite routine was All About That Bass especially when the girls broke out the conga line ,Rita was always ready to join in. She will be missed.

She was so beautiful, and too young.  I will always remember her smiling in her kitchen or the backyard on 213th Street.  My love and sympathy to Uncle Jerry, Stephanie, Gerry and the entire family.  You'll be loved and missed always, Aunt Rita.

Rita was a wonderful friend whom I loved dearly and will miss greatly. She was a fabulous cook and consummate hostess. Her birthday pizza parties were legendary!! Now she can entertain the Angels!!!

Rita was a dear friend whom I will not forget.  I have all my sweet memories of parties jazzercises pizza and pool parties and Ritas love of family and to cook for all of us. Rita was like a surrogate mother to me and a surrogate grandmother to my children. I haven't been able to see her in several months, due to family situations of my own, and I am left with such an emptiness in my heart - we here on earth have lost more than a beautiful person, we have lost something elemental... as if the earth isn't quite as bright anymore without her here. I will miss you so much, Rita - and Brendan will always remember Miss Rita who called him "LOVEY" as she watched him grow from the chubby 8 month old baby to the 9 year old boy he is today. Sweet dreams, Rita - I love you.

Only got the privilege of knowing her for a short time through Jazzerise. She was such a wonderful sweet woman. Since we shared BC and chemo. We often compared notes. I'm so sorry she has left all too soon, for me to have gotten to know her longer. Know there are so many that loved her.
