He was in the US Army from 1953 to 1956. He served in Company B, 42nd Armored Infantry Battalion, 2nd Armored Division from 1953 to 1956.
Bob was a chemist employed by the Environmental Protection Agency. He enjoyed fishing, travelling and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jean, daughter, Julea (Matthew) Danielson, son Gary (Jennifer) Harless, one sister Rosetta Harless Miller, three grandchildren Grant and Adam Danielson and Ella Harless.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cary. The family will greet friends from 1-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
