Robert William "Bobby" Kearns

Robert William Kearns, 26, died September 7, 2013 in an accident doing what he loved, tree climbing. He was a native of Cary, NC. Bobby was educated at Wiley Elementary School, Exploris Middle School and Cary High School. He was a former skateboarder, little league player and swimmer who loved to compete and received awards. He also enjoyed the beach and snowboarding. Bobby learned the joy of cooking while working as a chef for a little while. He liked cooking and was good at it. He currently was employed with Leaf and Limb Tree Service.

Bobby is survived by his parents, Bill and Jo Kearns; brothers, Brian and Andrew Kearns; and son, Taylor King.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund for Bobby's son, Taylor, set up by his grandparents, William "Bill" and Yomaira "Jo" Kearns. Donations may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to account ending in 3308 in care of William and Yomaira Kearns. If you prefer to send or drop off a check to the family or the funeral home, make the check payable to William or Yomaira Kearns.
